I’m a real girls girl and like most, I love to shop and I love fashion. So, if I’m honest, when I think of the spaces I love best, it probably involves shoes rather than food.
So when news came out that Selfridges were revamping part of the ground floor into a luxury accessories hall, I was intrigued to say the least.
The first time I went in and saw the white walls, marble floors and bright white lights perfect for guilty selfies – I was sold.
I really don’t have a favourite part but probably Céline and Saint Laurent because they’re my favourite designer brands, plus I love the touch of greenery that’s been added to it. I also love the Fount bar in the middle with the amazing red velvet bar stools that I’ve already put on my Instagram! They’re stunning ! The bar was created in collaboration with mixologist Ryan Chetiyawardana [Mr Lyan].- all the drinks are centred around the theme of purity.
The space was beautifully created by the team at David Chipperfield. The serene and spacious interior really creates a ‘fluid environment, with every element from the architecture and lighting- to the positioning of the products- all carefully considered.’
Lastly, the beautifully tiled floors in Gucci! I couldn’t help but take a picture. I have a thing for nice floors. The space is super airy and spacious and it is designed to simply make you want to buy buy buy.
The flagship accessories boutiques are Balenciaga, Burberry, Chanel, Celine, Chloe, Chrome Hearts, Gucci, Jimmy Choo Loewe, Mulberry, Prada, Saint Laurent, Stella McCartney and Valentino.
