My stay in Mykonos was absolutely AMAZING. It was my first time there and I really had no idea what to expect of the hotel when I got there. I mean, I had obviously picked it and seen pictures but I genuinely did not think its would be so stunning.
I knew the Myconian Hotel collection was great but I also knew that we picked a hotel in Elia, rather than the Mykonos town but I am beyond glad we did! The resort is one of 3 or 4 in the area and they all kind of sit on top of each other and you can use the facilities of all the resorts, as long as you’re staying in one. We did dinner a few nights at the other resorts if we were too lazy to venture into the town.
The resort was beautiful and our room was great too. The Bathroom was my favourite area. It had a stone-effect that complimented the rustic feel that ran through the whole hotel. I also loved the pop of colour in different places and the random penguin ornaments that sign-posted us home every evening.
My favourite space in the hotel: okay I have two. The first has got to be the reception area – it was airy and spacious and the entrance view was incredible and made it very difficult to leave every morning. the rainbow colours used for the seating area made it extremely playful but it still kept that luxury feel. My Second favourite space was the random room with broken glass. The whole hotel had this mystical aura and this room was definitely the icing on the cake – the room just sparkled.
This resort is high on my recommendation list. We also had dinner at the Utopia Resort and the Imperial Resort – both are equally as stunning. The Myconian collection has a few hotels dotted around the whole of Mykonos and they all look like a dream. Every room had a different, yet elegant feel and absolutely nothing was left untouched. I also liked that every resort had a quirky character- it just made the trip more exciting I was constantly discovering new things.
Here are a few places I would recommend trying while in Mykonos. My favourite restaurant was Interni and my favourite beach bar was Nammos, but I also liked Pasaji too. Also, if you want to get some greek culture into your trip, then I recommend going on the Delos Tour- but take water and lots of it! Lastly, check out Rarity Gallery in Mykonos town- Focussed on contemporary and new-generation artists, it is full of the new and exciting.
