So Saturday was really really sunny and luckily I had planned an outdoor brunch with a friend at Coq d’argent and it was a Saturday well spent- good food and good chat- very chilled vibes and not too busy and the service was great!
I was talking to my friend during the week and we were deciding where to go. There are so many cool spots in London that do really affordable brunches, so I try to do different places each time! Plus it’s great for new blog content!
After looking at a few places, we decided to check out Coq d’argent, near Bank Station. It describes itself as a rooftop French Brasserie and boy was it beautiful!! The views are amazing and the greenery against all the white seating, is stunning. There is also a really pretty inside space, but as it was sunny, everyone was perched outside and soaking up the sun!
We opted for the 2 course brunch menu, which is £26 and 3 courses is £29 but I knew I couldn’t eat 3 courses. I had the Faux filet as a main and some pistachio ice cream for dessert (I hate the nut itself, but the ice cream is more life). I’m really sorry, but I was so hungry so I forgot to take photos of my food haha! I’m not a food blogger, so please don’t be mad- I’m just here to tell you that the place is beautiful! Also, looking at some of the photos online and thinking about the food passing by me on Saturday, the food looks delicious and my dish was yummy – zero complaints.
After eating, drinking and talking, we decided to go to the rooftop garden to listen to the live jazz band. The views were incredible – it overlooks the city of London, so it’s the perfect location for summer drinks!
There is also a beautiful wisteria display as soon as you come up to the rooftop and it’s lined with white bird cages filled with small bottles- it was very pretty and great photo opp people!
It was a lovely day and I would really recommend the spot. Plus, on the weekends it’s slightly quieter as the city is naturally quieter on the weekends- but it was gorgeous ! Worth checking out!
